A Guide on How to Get Books for Your Apple iPad

If you have bought iPad specifically to read different eBooks, then you will certainly need to know how to buy, download and sync eBooks from your computer so that you can read them on your iPad.

To say the truth, the only thing you will need, aside from your iPad, is an account on your local iTunes store. And a computer is not needed for this. To say the truth, you could buy and download not only books, however as well music and various movies right on your iPad. But still a lot of people sync their iPad with a computer running iTunes. Bear in mind that linking to a computer provides you with an option of storing more content on the hard disk and then choosing which movies, songs or books you actually want to have copied to the iPad.

If you do not have an account, then launch iTunes or iBooks on the iPad and follow the prompts to set one up. In fact, it takes a few minutes, but you will need your credit card to enter the details. When you have your account set up, you are ready to start buying eBooks.

Apple's iBook application could already be installed on your iPad when you first switch it on, however if it is not, you could install it from the App Store. All you have to do is to tap the App Store icon and look for iBooks.

When you have installed iBooks app, tap it to be taken to your virtual library, which looks as a wooden bookshelf on the screen. In order to access the Store, just tap the Store button, which is situated on the top left corner of the library display. The bookcase will revolve to reveal the store behind and when there you could browse featured new titles or look for your favorite author.
