World Of Warcraft's Best Hunter Leveling Spec

By Wayne Allen

If you are playing a hunter, you are in luck - hunters are one of the easiest classes to level up in the game. If you use the best hunter leveling spec, you can turn your pet into a war machine that can handle elites on its own.

All hunter talents help you level, but focusing on Beast Mastery will have the best results. The BM tree gives you the best talents to equip a pet as a tank, allowing a hunter to sit back and deal lots of damage undeterred. In fact, with Beast Mastery alone, a Hunter's pet can become so powerful that your Hunter doesn't even need gear!

Prepared to level up faster than every other class? Then here is one of the most popular Hunter builds in the game from the legendary Zygon guide.

Starting with the Beast Mastery Tree:

2 points in Focused Fire

followed by 1pt in Endurance Training

then 2pts in Focused Fire

2 points - Improved Revive Pet

1 point - Aspect Mastery

1 point in Intimidation

2 points in Bestial Discipline

5pts in Ferocity

5 points in Frenzy

1 point in Bestial Wrath

1pts in Animal Handler

2 points in Catlike Reflexes (2/3)

3 points - Ferocious Inspiration

1 point in The Beast Within

5 points - Serpent's Swiftness

3pts in Longevity

1 point - The Beast Within

1 point in Beast Mastery

Then change to the Marksmanship Tree, and put

1 point - Beast Mastery

3 points in Focused Aim

5pts in Lethal Shots

3pts in Careful Aim

5pts in Mortal Shots

1pt in Go for the Throat

SURVIVAL TREE

5pts in Improved Tracking

That is a great build that gives you a bit of strength in PvP as well. If you are after a quicker leveling build, however, then you might want to try Zygon's build, which is considered the fastest leveling build in the game.

The advantages to this build is how your pet is transformed into a monster, capable of tanking multiple monsters on its own. This build also gives the pet the capacity to hold aggro extremely well, allowing the hunter to deal damage without being harassed by mobs. This build only works when you're leveling up though. If you're after a build that's more focused on player vs player combat, then you might want to give this a go:

5 points in Improved Aspect of the Hawk

Begin with the Beast Mastery tree and put five talent points in Improved Aspect of the Hawk. After that put

2 points in Focused Fire

3pts in Endurance Training

1 point in Aspect Mastery

5 points - Unleashed Fury

2 points in Improved Mend Pet

5 points in Ferocity

1 point in Intimidation

2 points in Bestial Discipline

5pts in Frenzy

1 point - Bestial Wrath

1 point - Animal Handler

2 points - Catlike Reflexes (2/3)

5pts in Serpent's Swiftness

3 points in Longevity

3pts in Cobra Strikes

2 points (of 3) in Cobra Strikes

5pts in Kindred Spirits

1 point - Beast Mastery

Change to the Marksmanship Tree, and put

5 points in Lethal Shots

3 points - Focused Aim

3pts in Careful Aim

3 points - Improved Hunter's Mark

5 points - Mortal Shots

For your glyphs, choose Aspect of the Viper, Serpent String and Hunter's Mark.

Pick Freezing Trap, Bestial Wrath, Hunter's Mark as your major glyphs.

Both builds start off putting talent points into Aspect of the Hawk. While it does not benefit your pet in any way, the increased attack speed it gives your hunter is essential for doing decent damage.

Naturally, the all-important Beast Mastery is included at the end. There is also the critical bonus for your pet with Ferocity and the must-have talent Unleashed Fury which makes your pet hit harder.

The key to using both these builds lies in making sure you micromanage your pet properly. If you were in a raid, you wouldn't take aggro off the main tank - so don't take it off your pet! Let your pet take the heat, and you'll be leveling up in no time.
