How To Make Money - Discover The How You Can Earn The Extra Income

By Brett Burnam

Affiliate marketing is all about getting paid for selling products you don't own and not going to jail for it. To develop software programs, digital content products, and services, someone else will go through all that trouble. While they do all the work, you get to collect the money!

Affiliate marketing is a revenue sharing arrangement between the product developer, known as the affiliate merchant, and the affiliate marketer who is anyone that's willing to promote the sale of product by advertising the product using any type of legal means available.

Because of this relationship, the affiliate merchant will grow their revenue by only paying for the advertising that resulted in a sale. The affiliate marketer will profit by making a percentage on a sale that he does not have to manage after the sale.

What about getting paid? When it comes to getting paid, it would depend on how the affiliate program is set up. Some merchants will run their own affiliate program. Each affiliate marketer will be assigned by a software a special link to be used in promoting a product. What the software will do is track sales of every marketer and the commission will be paid by the merchant via PayPal or other methods of payment on a periodic basis.

Selecting products or services Directly tied to how well your selected product or service sells is your income and the commission size which is why choosing the affiliate merchant you'll be partnering with is important.

When you choose programs, make sure they're the programs you're not embarrassed to promote and feel comfortable recommending to your friends and family if they ask you about it.

You'll be better off promoting products you fully understand and are familiar with. This way, you'll be able to write better ads without having to strain yourself coming up with the right things to say.

Products and services for companies who provided you with sales ads and training programs like marketing materials you can use are the ones you should only promote.

Keep an eye out for programs with commission rates that are no less than 50%. There are programs that pay commissions on multiple levels, you'll have to earn commission on sales made by people who buy the products through your link and later on becomes affiliates themselves and these are the programs you should give preference to.
