Is The MMO World Getting Dried Out?

By Shawn Tesker

Gaming is a big part of my life for the past 10 years now I got the ps3,wii and the xbox360 it was great killing dragons in skyrim, and I really loved playing diablo 2 and of course, the world of warcraft.

However, lately or more like for the past three years I feel like the gaming world is not moving at all. All we get are super hyped games that don't deliver.

Some of these games are diablo 3 and guild wars 2. I spent 60$ for each of these games and after three days of playing I was back to my normal routine, and these games were back on the shelf.

I should point out I'm not the easiest person to please or what you usually call the average gamer. I'm pretty much hardcore and I generally only go for online games, and yet I feel there are no new ideas in the online gaming world.

These few years in the gaming world every game just seems to promise the world and fail to deliver, it creates the feeling that's there's nothing new.

It's not just me. I know that I'm a pretty heavy gamer but there is just a lack of creativity that runs in the gaming world in this past few year.

New ideas are not something you see in the gaming world these days just rewrapped games, and again, I must say its pretty much disappointing considering all the new computers and motion controllers that are out there.

I can understand, maybe they're saying don't fix what is not broken it might be true in some cases, for example, the world of warcraft mists of pandaria. The world of warcraft is the largest online game in the world and yet it a drop lately although the new mists of pandaria blizzard expect a rise in subscribes.

Ok so don't make a new world of warcraft, no one asked you to, but where is the new engine, Where is the super unknown graphic even 3d graphics or maybe a better sound and what about stories or abilities in games, everything is just the same, our programmers and game developers have just stopped daring themselves and trying to do brand new things?

A few nice games did come out these last few years like the league of legends that really got me hocked but few others I must admit.

A super awesome idea is the secret world which is working on giving something new, and I personally believe it's great the moment, they will fix their clunky controls I will probably be back to that train.

It might just be me, but from what I see around me a lot of gamers just get bored faster these days, it used to be a time when I was 13, and I was at school and all I loved doing was checking another game after another with my friends but now its getting old, and I lack the time to do so.

Relaxing and playing games on my spare time is still one of the best ways I enjoy spending my time when I'm not working.

Please help me make this article a wake-up call to all the great companies, just twitt like and share it, and maybe we will get lucky, and they will hear us out.
