Akash tablet and its impact on computing

Till now you may of heard about them. Tablet computers are gaining the momentum and acquiring the market with ease. The user accessibility and all time availability without any sophisticated hardware had made them the first choice for the entry level computing. The main player of the tablet market is apple's i-pad. This tablet revolutionizes the computing world with its great touch experience and now tablet PC's are becoming the main competitor for the laptops. The latest to join the buzz is akash tablet PC of India.

The visual rich experience at the finger tips is the driving sources behind this. Whether you are a college student or a Business person your access to tablet eliminates the need of small PDA devices which were not so powerful and also limited to very few resources. The tablet PC delivers the full power of computing along with connectivity in this socializing world.

The early stages of tablet PC's have few downsides. They were mostly limited in functionality and treated more as e book readers. But the recent technological advancements had blown this limitation and tablet PC's are evolved with much more computing power. This led to new trend where everyone is eager to get a tablet PC. The tablets are now considered as a replacement of traditional laptops and PDA devices. More and more hybrid models of tablet are evolving which are on one hand increasing the functionality and on other hand eliminating the needs to have several devices to perform different function and providing more access with lesser number of devices.

Samsung galaxy tab with the functionality of inbuilt phone had eliminated the need of any kind of smart phone as well as its computing power can make you free from carrying laptop at every place. Some of the low price tablet such as akash tablet had really helped the normal worker to own the tablet PC.

There was a lot of research done by the top brains of India to bring the akash tablet to such lower cost and satisfy the minimum performance benchmarks. The tablet still suffers from lower performance which needs to be improved. The huge demand from Indian young generation is the main factor for such a low cost. The tablet cost about 35$ which is too low than any other entry level tablet in the market.

The price of this ultra-cheap will come down to much lower limit due to government support on the tablet as government is planning to increase the production. Akash tablet have android 2.2 operating system and have nice looking display of 7 inch with touch screen functionality. Built-in Wi-Fi support is there to connect aksah to the internet.The tablet has proved its cost efficiency and is now reaching the general market where it has to prove about its performance. As expected at this price tag there is not much to expect on performance but the tablet has to prove its minimum functionality.
